The 2nd meeting of the Network of the IPA/NDICI programming authorities in the Danube Region

The 2nd meeting the Network of the IPA/NDICI programming authorities in the Danube Region took place on June 10th, under the lead of the Managing Authority for Interreg IPA CBC Romania-Serbia Programme with the support of the Slovak EUSDR Presidency, the European Commission and the Danube Strategy Point and participation of Interreg ERDF programmes in the Danube Region.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss how programming authorities and macro regional strategies representatives can support each other in complying with the respective legislation and also maximize their impact in the region. The scope is to pave the way forward to a coordinated approach to shared priorities in the Danube Region in 2021-2027, making use of the expertise gathered at both MRS and programme levels.

The session focused on sharing best practices and identification of synergies, especially in the fields of interventions where coordinated actions/ projects can be envisaged during the next programming period, in order to maximise the impact of the EU funds and to create more added-value of the interventions throughout the Danube Region.

Participants agreed on a next meeting in autumn to exchange information on developments and practical approach on cooperation and coordination.
