Baltic Science Network conference & Council of the Baltic Sea States Science Day

The Council of the Baltic Sea States invite you to the Baltic Science Network (BSN) online conference & Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) Baltic Sea Science Day!

The conference offers a unique opportunity to discuss the final outcomes of the BSN project with actors from politics and science at regional, national and European level and to define the way forward for the Baltic Science Network. In this context, a new vision will be presented, intended to guide the course to enhanced competitiveness and excellence of the Baltic Sea science region and to make a contribution to the realization of the European Research Area.

Pressing challenges of macro-regional science cooperation will be addressed, such as:

• – How to improve alignment of various cross-border research support initiatives and funding programs in order to fully exploit the potential of the Baltic Sea science region
• – How to enhance non-EU countries’ involvement in Baltic Sea regional science cooperation
• – How to encourage a broader transnational use of large research infrastructures located in the Baltic Sea region
• – How to support academic mobility for young researchers throughout the region

The online conference is conducted with Zoom. After registering, you will receive an email with the access data and all necessary technical information. For the conference to go well, you will need a webcam, a microphone and headphones, e.g. a telephone headset, in addition to your computer.
