As a continuation of the first meeting of the Danube Youth Organisations Network (DYON), on 7 December 2023, the members of the Task Force of the Danube Youth Council, as well as interested Priority Area Coordinators and a DYC representative, Philip Tudor, met to discuss further steps of DYON.

It was agreed that meaningful involvement of the DYON in the Danube Strategy is only possible if the capacities, expectations and wishes of both sides are precisely harmonised.

A special focus will lie on elaborating the interlink between the DYON and the Danube Youth Council (DYC). Forming a complementary structure to the DYC, the DYON will represent the standpoints of a broad variety of youth organisations from all over the Danube Region.

The topic will be further taken up at the joint NC-PAC Meeting in Vienna, in January 2024. A first written concept for the establishment of the DYON is expected for early 2024.
