The EUSDR Priority Area Coordinators (PAC) Meeting, held in Sarajevo on 26–27 February 2025, brought together key stakeholders from across the Danube Region to discuss the current challenges and future directions of the Danube Region Strategy (EUSDR). The meeting took place under the Bosnian and Herzegovinian EUSDR Presidency, marking an important milestone in fostering cooperation and dialogue among participating countries.
DG REGIO and the Danube Region Programme representatives also attended the two-day event, which offered participants a platform to share experiences and ideas on improving cooperation, supporting sustainable development, and improving connectivity in the Danube Region.
The agenda covered essential topics, including:
• Presentation of the Bosnian and Herzegovinian EUSDR Presidency Programme and key priorities for 2025;
• Updates from the European Commission on the future of macro-regional strategies and cohesion policy;
• Strengthening cross-priority area cooperation and enhancing the role of the Danube Strategy Point;
• Exploring funding opportunities through the Interreg Danube Region Programme.
During the meeting, fruitful discussions took place on improving EUSDR Governance to implement the Danube Region Strategy even more effectively.
The EUSDR Presidency appreciated the participants’ valuable contribution and ongoing dedication to the Danube Region’s sustainable and inclusive development.
