The European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) is the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to cohesion policy. This year edition of the #EURegionsWeek (EWRC) will take place from 7-10 October 2024.
Under the motto Empowering communities, the event will focus on four themes:
• Competitiveness and convergence: two sides of the same coin
• Regions strengthening European Democracy
• Smart and sustainable growth for regions
• Regions got talent
The kick-off meeting for partners took place on the 22nd February 2024, when EURegionsWeek organisers – European Commission Directorate General Regional and Urban Policy and European Committee of the Regions – presented this year’s edition and novelties.
The event will host various formats of sessions, which will focus on regional partnerships and involvement of the local & regional decision makers. The institutions and organisations interested in organising thematic sessions will be able to submit their application from 28 February to 2 April 2024.
