My name is Dimitar Uzunov. I am 22-years-old and from Sofia, Bulgaria. I am in my senior year at Sofia University studying European Studies and I’m currently looking forward to pursuing a master’s degree in Europe. My interests lie in international politics and history, and I’m actively involved in representing the Bulgarian branch of a European-wide NGO named JEF since 2022. Apart from my participation in JEF, I’m also active in various university activities. Recently, I applied for the Danube Youth Council as I believe the idea of a Strategy for the Danube Region is crucial, particularly as a tool to combat ineffective governance and corruption. I am specifically engaged with the Priority Area of Security as it resonates with my goals and aspirations for my country, and I am excited to enhance my knowledge in it in the context of the Danubian Region.
