Cooperation is essential to manage water resources across borders.
On 25 March 2022 at Guinee #expo2020 in Dubai an excellent exchange on good practice examples of transboundary rivers management and cooperation was provided by the representatives of insitutions of the rivers Niger, Mekong and Danube.
The EUSDR was represented by Balazs Horvath, Coordinator of EUSDR Priority Area 4 – Water Quality and Robert Lichtner, Coordinator of the Danube Strategy Point. Together they presented and discussed how countries of the Danube Region Strategy cooperate along the Danube River, join forces to contribute in preventing and reducing water pollution, counter-fight the effects of climate change also related to navigation and other issues.
