The ๐ต๐๐ต ๐๐จ ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ด๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ was organised in Vienna, Austria, 18-19 March 2024, by the Austrian Parliament and the Austrian EUSDR Presidency.
The agenda included three sessions for discussion:
โถ Security in the Danube Region
โถ Education for democracy
โถ The Danube Region as a Cultural, Natural and Science Area
The conference closed with the adoption of the Joint Statement adopted by the 9th EU Strategy for the Danube Region Speakers Conference. The Joint Statement underlined the values of the EU of respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights; reaffirmed the conclusions of the report from the European Commission on the implementation of the EU macro-regional strategies of 27 June 2023; and acknowledged the conclusions drawn by the Joint Statement of the Ministers Responsible for the Implementation of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region of, 24 October 2023, especially concerning its call for a revival of the annual Danube Parliamentary Conferences as one of the main tools for enhancing the political commitment and visibility of the EUSDR.
