The report gives a deep insight in KDZ work and impact of the last year, including the factors that made the centre resilient in 2020 and allow an optimistic view to the future: their own team, their partners & clients and a lot of new projects, methods and experiences.
The third factor is fully reflected in the report, as it contains a summary of projects and methods.
KDZ conducted the first survey of municipalities on the new challenges, under the motto “Municipalities and CORONA – Maintaining the ability to act now!” The Centre also pioneered the use of digital collaboration tools in consulting & training.
KDZ established a European network of cities committed to promoting quality, innovation, sustainability and intergenerational equity in public finances. Another opportunity used in 2020 was to advance digitalisation with regard to CAF-Online (CAF is the European Common Assessment Framework for better Quality and Governance in Public Administration).
If we quantify the projects implemented by KDZ, the results are the following:
- European Governance and Urban Policy: 34 project
- Public Finance and Federalism: 17 projects
- Public Management Consulting: 54 projects
- CAF-projects: 12
- Seminars & Webinars: 134
The implemented projects and developed seminars contributed to strengthening the public sector during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
