Open Seminar: VET Transition – from classrooms to companies

 

The Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry will organise on 31 January 2017 the kick-off session for the DTP project „Learning by Doing – Targeted capacity building of VET partnerships in the Danube Region for the effective modernization of VET systems” and focused on support of economic growth and competitiveness with help of work-based learning in VET. The event will also serve as a Working Group meeting for Vocational Education and Training of EUSDR Priority Area 8 – Competitiveness.

The Open Seminar’s main goal is to focus on the complex issue of VET transition towards a more demand-driven, company-based vocational education with the help of international and national VET experts:

  • overview of VET from an EU perspective
  • roles and responsibilities of the VET actors
  • main bottlenecks and successes of implementation and sensitisation of VET transition
  • supply and demand for skilled manpower
  • disparity of skills and market needs, shortage of and mismatch between skills and qualifications

The event will be organized on the premises of Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (99 Krisztina krt., H-1016 Budapest, Hungary)

on 31 January, 2017 from 9.00 – 14.00

The event will be organised in English (no translation)
