New JRC Essentials Publication: Tools and Practices for Countries and Regions

The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) announced the release of JRC Essentials: Tools and Practices for Countries and Regions, a comprehensive resource that showcases the JRC’s tools and best practices. This publication is a key guide for governments, central and local administrations, academia, and research organizations across the EU and beyond.

With a foreword by Ms. Ekaterina Zaharieva, Commissioner for Startups, Research, and Innovation, JRC Essentials highlights the JRC’s commitment to supporting evidence-informed policymaking and promoting collaboration with regions. The publication is structured into thematic sections highlighting the JRC’s key areas of expertise. Additionally, it features a horizontal section covering Knowledge and Competence Centres, standards, and reference materials, as well as open access to research infrastructures.

Policymakers, researchers, and practitioners are encouraged to explore this publication and leverage the expertise and opportunities available at the JRC. Strengthening partnerships and enhancing knowledge-sharing can drive more effective policy development and positive change at all levels.

To support EU Macro-Regional Strategies, stakeholders are invited to share this publication with relevant actors and partner organizations, ensuring that regional decision-makers can fully benefit from its insights and resources.

The publication is available for download on the JRC Publications Repository and the EU Publications Office. Exploring and disseminating this valuable resource can help maximize its impact across different sectors.
