Mostar, Bosnia and Herzergovina: Strengthening Regional Cooperation for a Resilient Danube Region

On April 3, 2025, Mostar hosted a significant EUSDR Cross-PA event on water management, emergency response, and disaster risk management. Organised under the Bosnian and Herzegovinian EUSDR Presidency, the event gathered representatives from key institutions to discuss challenges, share solutions, and enhance cooperation in these critical areas.

Interactive Knowledge Cafés and Future Steps

The event featured Knowledge Café discussions, where experts and policymakers worked together to identify key challenges and propose concrete actions. Topics ranged from nature-based solutions for flood prevention to improving first-responder coordination.

As a result of this event, new partnerships and action plans were proposed to enhance disaster preparedness and ensure sustainable water management practices across the Danube Region. The Bosnian and Herzegovinian EUSDR Presidency reaffirmed its commitment to fostering cooperation and building a more resilient future.
