Danube Business Talks 2021 | 13 October 2021

Participate online at the international sector event on 13 October and get on board to start up business along the Danube again!

The COVID-19 pandemic had a major impact on the tourism and transport sector along the waterway. Whereas passenger shipping has been totally suspended for many months, the cargo shipping sector has been struggling with enforced restrictions and declining transport orders.

Now that measures against the COVID-19 pandemic show positive effects all over Europe, we would like to work on a joint perspective for the restart and an enduring recovery of cargo and passenger shipping on the Danube together with you. Fast and concrete steps are required to ensure seamless operations along the entire Danube to avoid further economic damage and to seize existing opportunities in the best possible way.

But which measures need to be taken to ensure a sustainable development after the COVID-19 crisis? Which actions need to be prioritised? Which structural improvements for inland navigation will help us to set the course for future? These and further topics will be discussed with private and public stakeholders during the Danube Business Talks 2021.
