Chat with the Presidency: A successful format for exchange and discussions

At the initiative of the Slovenian EUSDR Presidency, on 31 May 2023, a first Chat with the Presidency – a new, informal meeting format – took place online.

With no formal agenda, the session proved to be an open floor for communication and exchange between the EUSDR Priority Area Coordinators and the Slovenian EUSDR Presidency, creating room for exchange and discussions.

The participants discussed several topics, among others: the NC-PAC Meeting (18-19 September 2023 in Portorož), the 12th EUSDR Annual Forum (24-25 October 2023 in Brdo pri Kranju), ways of improving SG Meeting participation (e.g. hybrid mode, raising political awareness on national levels etc.), involving businesses and SMEs into EUSDR, EUSDR as a tool of cooperation in solving the issues that are eminent now, especially with all the newly emerged challenges that the EUSDR member states face.

All participants concluded that this informal and open way of discussion is very productive and should continue in the future!
