My name is Caroline, and I am 28 years old. I have been living in Vienna for over eight years. My passion for music, especially singing, playing instruments and dancing very much influences me every day. Music brings people together, connects them and builds a kinder society representing a colourful kaleidoscope of people that come together. Inclusion and diversity are very crucial for social cooperation and coexistence, and that is why I am strongly advocating for equal opportunities, especially when it comes to gender equity. I believe that with music we can bring people together and demonstrate the rights and value of every human being, highlighting the beautiful melodies emerging from the diverse backgrounds.
I currently work for an international NGO dedicated to children, especially through projects in the Danube Region. In my role, I focus on creating initiatives that provide tools for children and youth to overcome poverty and marginalisation. A vital component of fostering independent and self-determined lives is ensuring the right to participate and empowering young voices. I am eager to take part in the Danube Youth Council to advocate for the youth across the Danube Region. My goal is to combine my interests and my work in raising awareness for the youth’s interests at an institutional level and promote systemic changes that open opportunities and perspectives for all young people in the area – maybe through creative and artistic ways. I am committed to advocating for a more diverse and inclusive Danube Region, grounded in respect, kindness, and openness to all interests.
