The Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, situated south-west of the Danube in Serbia, holds the chairmanship of the Working Community of the Danube Regions in 2021-2022. Under the umbrella of this chairmanship the Provincial Government of Vojvodina recently announced a number of interesting cultural events to be held in August and September 2021! Read more below:
- “Tamburitza Fest” from 19 to 21 August 2021 held at Petrovaradin Fortress.
The festival promotes tamburitza music and the cultivation of tradition, cooperation and friendship of music artists. Orchestras from various countries participate every year.
For 2022 there is a possibility for orchestras from regions of the members of the working community to participate.

- 28th International Festival of Children’s Theatres from 19 to 24 September 2021 in Subotica.
During its previous editions, more than five hundred dramatic ensembles from almost fifty countries have participated. It is a review and contribution to the history and anthology of the world’s puppetry and theatre for children, and clearly names and characterizes it as one of the most significant cultural events of the Republic of Serbia – far beyond its borders.
