My name is Ines Poppinger and I am a 22-year-old student from Vienna. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Transport Management and am currently in the final year of my Master’s in European Studies: Management of EU Projects.

For the past two and a half years, I have been working at viadonau – Austrian Waterway Company, a subsidiary of the Federal ministry of innovation, mobility and infrastructure, in the team transport development. Here, I am able to explore and deepen my passion for sustainable transport and energy.

Promoting multimodal transport projects and ensuring that youth perspectives are reflected in long-term infrastructure and energy strategies in the region were my motivation to apply for a mandate. I look forward to learning from and connecting with others who share a passion for shaping a sustainable future for the Danube region.

Outside of my studies and work I am a passionate dancer, but you can also find me at the gym, reading or – of course – near the Danube.
