My name is Marija, and I come from Mojkovac, a small town in the north of Montenegro. I am currently completing my Master’s degree in International Law. My main fields of interest are human rights, youth policy and European integration. As a youth activist, I have participated in numerous local, regional and international exchanges where I learned about equality, inclusion, youth participation, activism, environmental protection, human rights and soft skills development. These experiences reflect my passion for traveling, meeting people from all over the world, listening to their stories, learning from them and working with those who are different from me. I am also a Young European Ambassador and a young leader. Together with my colleagues, I strive to present the many opportunities the EU offers to young people from our region. Through workshops, panels and projects, we as youth share knowledge and inspire others to take part in building a better future. I am a member of the Council for Youth Initiatives under the President of Montenegro, where I advocate for youth voices to be heard and their ideas to be integrated into institutional decision-making. The young people I work with and myself are proof that collaboration is possible, empowering and transformative. Through my engagement in this council, I aim to strengthen cooperation among my peers from different countries and turn brilliant ideas into reality.
