EUSDR releases 2022-2023 Implementation Report highlighting regional achievements

The Danube Strategy Point announces the EUSDR Implementation Report 2022-2023 release. The report highlights the Strategy’s achievements in fostering resilience, collaboration, and sustainable development across the Danube Region amidst challenges such as the war in Ukraine and climate impacts. The report also underscores progress in the four strategic pillars:

  • Pillar 1: Enhanced connectivity with flagship projects like FAIRway Danube II and efforts to align transport and energy with EU decarbonization goals.
  • Pillar 2: Climate resilience initiatives, including sustainable agriculture policies and flood risk management with nature-based solutions.
  • Pillar 3: Boosted competitiveness through innovation hubs, vocational education, and green skills.
  • Pillar 4: Strengthened governance with cross-border healthcare frameworks and security collaborations like DARIF.

Key milestones include the establishment of the Danube Youth Council, the introduction of the first EUSDR monitoring system, and the launch of 28 flagship projects. The EUSDR also prioritised EU integration for Ukraine, Moldova, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
