I am Sára Molnár, a 26-year-old civil engineer and eco-hydrologist from Hungary. I work as a Research Assistant at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, focusing on projects related to the Danube River Basin. I am deeply passionate about restoring and protecting our environment through sustainable and eco-friendly practices. Long-term solutions must strike a balance and prioritise not only environmental sustainability but also social and economic performance. Therefore, I am thrilled that I can participate in the DYC, as it offers the chance to deepen my understanding of all the Priority Areas and contribute to the meaningful changes needed. Having been part of an Erasmus Mundus master’s programme – studying in four countries alongside students from 17 nationalities – and now working on projects involving numerous countries in the Danube Region, I can see the immense value and importance of sharing best practices, exchanging knowledge, and fostering collaboration.
