My name is Irina, and I am 25 years old, living in a large village near Chișinău, the capital of Moldova. Since a young age, I have been fascinated by mathematics (and occasionally physics) and have been passionate about environmental protection. With this in mind, I decided to pursue a career in energy engineering. Currently, I work for a Public Association called Green City Lab Moldova, where I am responsible for providing services that promote energy efficiency in buildings. This involves conducting energy audits, delivering training sessions, and implementing projects related to energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. However, my greatest source of pride is our work towards implementing a national energy management information system. I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to enhance my expertise and make valuable contributions to the growth of the Danube Region through my participation in the Priority Area 2 (Sustainable Energy) support team. I am hopeful that our efforts will raise awareness about responsible and sustainable energy consumption, leading to the preservation of the environment for future generations.”
